Welcome to our website, and thank you for your Interest.
So it's a Chihuahua you want!
If you never owned one of these little wonders, but now
have decided to see what all the fuss is about, you better
get ready for the love bug, because it's going to bite you
BIG TIME! They are by far the hardiest little fellows in the
dog world today. They do well in hot weather and love the
heat of the sun. They also can live a long life, and normal
dog illnesses don't seem to plague these little lap nappers,
so there's less trips to the vet and more time to enjoy the
new love in your life.
Many times I give a Chihuahua puppy to a family at no cost.
You just can't put a price on the feeling It gives you to do a
generous deed like that. I'll never forget the first time I seen
a Chihuahua at the age of seven. My mother was watching
the Jack Parr Show. Then he announced Xavier Cugat and
his band. He was leading his band with one hand and in his
other hand he was holding this little dog. I asked my mother
what was that he was holding, she told me, it was a
Chihuahua, they are the smallest dogs in the world. From
that day on my fate was sealed. My heart, the chihuahua will
always have. I hope you enjoy traveling through the pages
of our website, It's not that fancy, I put it together myself.
It doesn't have to say that much, it just has to say enough.
Please take the time to read about the history of this little
dog. They have a BIG story to tell, that's worth the little time
it takes to read about this most loving little animal we call
the Chihuahua.

We're only two days old.
Chihuahua history is filled with one of the larger mysteries surrounding the smallest breed of dog.
There are many who believe that the truth will never be known because of the well hidden secrecy.
The newest DNA evidence might shed some light onto the actual genetic precursor Chihuahuas.
There have been Techichis included in ancient graves all over Mexico. Perhaps some of them can
be tested to unravel the true Chihuahua history.
For those new to Chihuahua history, there is an accepted version of this tiny dog's heritage. It is
commonly accepted that this is the only native breed of the Americas. The animal has gone from a
mute companion of the Olmec,Toltec and Aztec civilisations to a very vocal member of the smallest
registered breed in modern times. As each culture conquered and supplanted the prior, the
Chihuahua's ancestor remained an important part of the then current society.
Another theory put forth is that the Chihuahua is actually of European descent. That it was the
Spanish conquistadors that brought this dog with them to the New World. For proof, the people
who support this theory point to the island of Malta where a small breed of dog existed that
possessed a natural molera. A molera is like an open fontanel in a human child, a soft spot on the
top of the skull where the three sections of the skull bone meet. The molera is extremely rare, and
uncommon to other breeds of dog. The Chihuahua, however, does possess this natural molera, it
is believed that this points to its descendants as being from Malta. Further proof is offered in of all
places, the Sistine Chapel. A painting by Sandro Botticelli, completed in 1482, depicts a dog that is
very much like today's Chihuahua. Since this painting was completed before Columbus sailed for
the New World, it offers proof that the dog is of European ancestry.
Aztec drawings and pottery show animals similar to the modern day Chihuahua as being integral
members of the upper class families. In some cases, the dogs are thought to be able to
communicate with the gods, though mute themselves! The pictured dogs are larger than the
current Chihuahua, with thicker necks, pointed tails and ears. They are also pictured as
accompanying their masters to the grave. Chihuahua history abounds with divergences about
whether they went along as guides, companions,..... or as food! The Chihuahua was also used as a
living hot water bottle to ease the pains in joints.
When the Spanish explorer, Hernando Cortez, and his men conquered the Aztecs in the years
1519-1521, much of the Aztec culture was lost. Chihuahua history suggests that the Spanish took
a few of the little dogs with them back to Spain, where they were bred with other small breeds.
Other discourses maintain that the Techichi were traded to China, where they were bred with a
hairless, but vocal, breed and miniaturised for the next several hundred years maintaining their
terrier like qualities.
Chihuahua history is full of mystery to this day. Nevertheless, the state of Chihuahua, which is due
south of New Mexico and Texas, was where the Chihuahuas were discovered in the 1850s.
Another dog that came from this area and further south in Mexico, is the Mexican Hairless Dog
known as the (Xoloitzquintle, pronounced show-low-eats-queent-lee),
which is medium in size and said to be a kin to the Chihuahua.
Today, some Chihuahua breeders are willing to openly talk about the human hand
ingredients that went into the recipe for their very own show / breeding lines, but
still there are many that will stay blanketed in secrecy, never letting the truth be known
The Chihuahua's personality, if you have not had the pleasure to meet them personally, is quite a
unique and endearing trait. They are energetic, alert, self possessed and self assured. It is this tiny
little Titan that believes it can take on any who cross his path and has a temper to match his
position and stature from the days of old. The Chihuahua will fiercely protect it's owner and
territory from any who would think to encroach upon his claim, even if it is a battle that he is sure
to loose. In the mind of the Chihuahua, all are servants to his will and taking into account his size,
this makes for quite a little bundle of joy to those who are appreciative of a good self esteem. The
breeders over the years have worked at making this little ball of self importance into a more
domesticated pet and have done wonders in their task, but the Chihuahua remains today to be that
of one who feels as though they own all they see.
Chihuahua history has the breed being first recognised in 1884, but not registered by the American
Kennel Club until 1904. England didn't register the breed until 1924.
When Xavier Cugat ("the rumba king") appeared in public with a Chihuahua as his constant
companion, the breed captured the publics hearts. It experienced a meteoric rise in popularity and
has continued as one of America's most popular breeds today, the Chihuahua remains the
smallest toy breed in the world, and it's popularity had grown in leaps and bounds.

This is Two Tonie's little daughter Trendie Sue at 9 weeks. She is a perfect
example of what a deer Chihuahua looks like. They should have a very sleek
look to their body, with very long legs. A real chi for the ladies, in my opinion.

"Your Chihuahua never has to step foot in a show ring...to be the Chihuahua Champion of your
heart. Whether sitting in your lap watching the world go by, protecting you from attacking
leaves in the backyard, or doing any of the hundreds of things that make you wonder if your
Chihuahua just might really be a human trapped in a dog's body..." - D. Caroline Coile, Ph.D.

Mylittechi, that's me! .....Hey, my little chi buddies. I'm getting pretty good at this graphic art business, wrote this poem, ( although I can't quite make my
mind up on how I want the end results to be). I'm not a poet at heart, but I wrote Chihuahua Eyes over a morning cup of Joe. We all have some hidden
talents, that we never tap. So if you would like something like the above pictures, with your own little poochi, sitting on a cloud, or whatever.
I will make one up for you for a modest fee. I make them up with a high resolution, so you can blow them up to poster size, and hang them in your little
doggie doodle's room. Or if you're like me, and you just can't get enough of your little poochi, hang it over the bed...It's a real delight to look at ,
especially if your magnificence significant other is a real woof!......I know you laughing!....We're all in the same boat,...with one ore in the water.

The Gift Of Love That Feeds The Heart
A guy wanted to take his Chihuahua into a restaurant with him, so he put on dark glasses and "tapped" his
way in the establishment.
The waiter said, "Hey! You can't bring a dog in here."
The man indignantly claimed, "I'm blind! This is my seeing eye dog!"
"You're trying to tell me," said the waiter, "that this Chihuahua is a seeing eye dog?"
"What???!" cried the man, "they gave me a Chihuahua?"
Even a master Artist couldn't resist the
charm of the Chihuahua. He added the
ingredients of this little dog to his painting
in the Sistine Chapel.
